Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website bbdimare.it and the room booking process for the Seaside B&B, with registered office at Via [full address], Orta Nova (FG), VAT No. [number]. By using the website and proceeding with a booking, the user fully accepts these terms and conditions.

1. Owner of the premises

The B&B di Mare is run by Adriano D’Aversa, with its registered office at Via [address], Orta Nova (FG) — VAT No. [number] — Email: info@bbdimare.it — Tel: [number].

2. Booking

A booking is only considered confirmed once the online payment process has been completed via the secure Stripe gateway, or upon receipt of a bank transfer, where this is offered as an alternative method. Until confirmation is received, room availability is not guaranteed.

Once the booking is complete, the guest will receive a confirmation email at the address provided during registration. We recommend that you check that the details you have entered are correct before proceeding to payment. Il B&B di Mare accepts no responsibility for any typing errors made by the user.

3. Prices

The prices shown on the website are in euros (€) and include VAT where applicable. Il B&B di Mare reserves the right to change prices at any time, provided that bookings that have already been confirmed and paid for will not be subject to price changes.

The tourist tax, where applicable as determined by the Municipality of Orta Nova, is payable by the guest and may be requested in cash at check-in.

4. Payment

Payment is processed securely via Stripe, a PCI-DSS-certified platform. Il B&B di Mare does not store guests’ credit card details. We accept all major payment cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and debit cards enabled for online payments.

Alternatively, you can make the payment via bank transfer to the details that will be sent by email. In this case, the booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment within 48 hours of the request; otherwise, the booking will be automatically cancelled.

5. Cancellation policy

Guests may cancel their booking subject to the following conditions:

  • Free cancellation: up to 14 days before on the scheduled check-in date. A full refund of the amount paid.
  • Late cancellation: among the 7 and the 3 days before at check-in. The following will be retained: 50% of the total amount of the booking as a penalty.
  • Cancellation within 48 hours o no-show (no-show without prior notice): the full amount of the booking will be retained and no refund will be given.

To request cancellation, you must send a written notice by email to info@bbdimare.it, quoting the booking number. The cancellation date is the date on which the accommodation provider receives the email.

6. Changing your booking

Requests to change the dates of your stay are subject to the accommodation’s availability and must be submitted by email at least 5 days in advance in relation to the check-in date. Il B&B di Mare reserves the right to accept or refuse any requested changes. Should a change be accepted and result in a difference in price, the guest will be contacted to settle any outstanding balance.

7. Check-in and Check-out

The check-in It is available from 14:00 at 20:00. Arrivals at different times must be arranged in advance by email or telephone. The check-out must take place by 10:00 on the day of departure. Failure to check out by the specified time may result in you being charged for an additional night.

8. Breakfast

Breakfast is included in the price and is served at the Incontri di Mare Restaurant, located approximately 450 metres from the property, at the times specified at check-in. Options are available for guests with gluten or lactose intolerances, provided this is notified at the time of booking or on arrival.

9. Guests’ obligations

Guests are required to:

  • Please treat the room, its furnishings and fittings with care;
  • Please comply with the accommodation’s house rules, which were provided at check-in;
  • Please do not disturb other guests during quiet hours (23:00–07:00);
  • Do not bring any illegal substances, animals (unless otherwise agreed in writing) or unregistered persons onto the premises;
  • Please report any damage or malfunctions as soon as possible.

In the event of damage to the property, the guest will be required to pay compensation for the full value of the damaged items. Il B&B di Mare reserves the right to request a security deposit at check-in.

10. The organisation’s responsibilities

Il B&B di Mare accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings within the premises or in communal areas, except in cases where the establishment’s direct liability is proven. Guests are advised to use the in-room safe to store valuables and documents.

11. Privacy and data processing

Personal data collected during the booking process is processed in accordance with the EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Italian legislation on the protection of personal data. For further information, please refer to the Privacy Policy of the website.

12. Force majeure

B&B di Mare shall not be held liable for any failure to fulfil its obligations caused by events of force majeure, including — by way of example and without limitation — natural disasters, pandemics, measures taken by the authorities, disruptions to essential services or other unforeseeable events beyond the control of the establishment. In such cases, the parties shall agree on a fair solution, which may include a full or partial refund or the postponement of the stay.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. In the event of any dispute arising from the interpretation or performance of these terms, the parties agree that the competent court shall be the Foggia District Court, unless otherwise provided for by consumer protection legislation.

14. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

B&B di Mare reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any amendments will take effect immediately from the date of publication on the website. Continued use of the website and/or the confirmation of new bookings following the publication of the amendments constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
